Revenue Potential

A ballpark estimate of Pseudopolis' revenue.

How big of an opportunity are we looking at?

Let’s say that a major US city could draw in revenue based primarily on rent, but also for related services like transit and commercial space, averaging $1000 per month per person for a population of 10 million.

The ballpark number is then $100 billion per year. There are (obviously) less successful scenarios, but also some which are even more successful.

Note that most of the costs involved are upfront construction costs, and also that large cities can run indefinitely. In the long run, quite a large fraction of that amount will be profit.
